Here in Shanghai

We’re in China again. This time we will stay for quite some time in Shanghai.

Direct flight and top service with Hainan Airlines.

On a straight line from Brussels to Shanghai. No Trade War, no boycot of Russia, nothing restricting Chinese airlines to fly over Russia, making the flight time much shorter and ticket cost significantly cheaper.

This time my granddaughter came with us to China. Her first trip to China !
During the next two weeks, I will guide her to the tourist spots in Shanghai.

Right after arrival at Pudong airport, we went straight to a party at the Belgian Consulate in Shanghai.

The Belgian consulate and its beautiful garden (actually an arboretum) in the middle of the city is a unique oasis.

There are some 30 ALDI shops in Shanghai.

We are staying in a 1st floor (ground floor) homestay in Jiashan road, near to Yongjia road, right in the geographical centre of Shanghai.

The bristling shopping malls in Xujiahui.

Korean barbeque: The sizzling, caramelized meats and vibrant, tangy banchan made for an incredibly flavorful and interactive dinner. Sharing a smoky, grill-centered feast was the perfect way to enjoy a lively and memorable evening.

We are especially delighted to be back in China. Here we enjoy the exceptional freedom and democracy that, sadly, we see in sharp decline in Europe.
